Practice hours

The Advanced Practice Hours page is where you record your work history. EndorseMe adds it up and keeps the evidence together.

What the hours are for

The page explains that the NMBA asks for 5,000 hours of clinically based advanced practice within the last six years for NP endorsement, which is about three years full-time. Advanced practice is a level of practice, not a job title. It is up to you to show that your practice meets the definition.

If you are already endorsed, the same page is called Practice recency. It tracks 450 hours of practice in the last five years for registration renewal. EndorseMe organises the record. It does not decide renewal.

Tips from the page

  • Keep dates, hours and FTE for each role.
  • Overlapping advanced practice roles are flagged so you can check them.
  • Wording suggestions in shift logs are drafts. Nothing is added to your shift record automatically.
  • Do not put identifiable patient details in descriptions.

Statement of Service drafts

For each employment period you can create a draft statement for your employer. The guide on the page is:

  1. Verify and correct any details.
  2. Add the signatory's name and title.
  3. Print it on official letterhead.
  4. Sign and date the letter.
  5. Share it with your employer.

The draft is a starting point. Your employer decides what they sign.
